Help us help you!

When your neighborhood is the focus of the City of Bartow’s Capital City Clean-Up (see map for timetable), please assess your property and make plans to participate in this clean-up effort.  Check out the information below for ways in which the City will assist in bringing your property into compliance – or just aid in sprucing up your home.

Dumpsters

Roll-off dumpsters will be located in your neighborhood on Saturdays during your designated month from 8am-1pm for disposal of large or bulk trash free-of-charge. Proof of residency required. Please adhere to the rules regarding disposal of unwanted items.

Hazardous Waste/Liquids

The City will not accept any hazardous waste including automotive fluids, batteries, cleaners, cooking oil, fertilizers, fluorescent bulbs, fuels, lawn chemicals, motor oil, paint remover/thinner, pesticides, pool chemicals, propane tanks, fire extinguishers or electronics. The City’s Solid WasteDept. will hold a Hazardous Waste Collection Day in October for collection of these items.
